Exam Details
The CompTIA Tech+ FC0-U71 exam was launched August 13, 2024. At the time of this recording, CompTIA has not scheduled a retirement date for this exam, but normally 3 years after the launch of an exam is when you can expect CompTIA to officially retire a version of an exam. The Tech+ exam has a maximum of 60 questions that will be presented in multiple choice format and you will have 60 minutes to complete the exam. In order to pass the exam, you must score 650 points out of 900 points, which translates into you scoring a 72% to pass. A candidate taking this exam does not need any prior IT experience and this exam is mostly designed for high school students and other non-IT professionals. At the time of this recording, English is the only language this exam is administered in. The company responsible for administering the test is Pearson VUE Testing Centers. And finally, the cost of the CompTIA Tech+ exam has not been posted, but it will more than likely be around the price of the CompTIA IT Fundamentals exam, which at the time of this recording is $138 for an exam voucher.
